Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today participated in the Regional Forum to Deepen Stakeholder Awareness and Engagement on the ASCC Strategic Plan, which was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Dr. Kao delivered remarks at the Opening Ceremony and officiated the ceremonial launch of the ASCC Strategic Plan at the Regional Forum, along with the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Arts of Malaysia and the ASCC Council Chair for 2025, Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, as well as the Ambassador of Japan to ASEAN, Kiya Masahiko. The Regional Forum raised awareness and collective ownership to the ASCC Strategic Plan, and deepened engagement with ASEAN partners and stakeholders. The event participants comprised of ASEAN Sectoral Bodies, Dialogue Partners, businesses, CSOs, academia/ think tanks, and communities to support the implementation of the ASCC Strategic Plan.
